As project manager and safety director, he is responsible for technical design and preparing permit applications for CME projects. He also prepares mine safety and subsidence control plans in compliance with MSHA and PA/DEP standards.

A licensed professional engineer, Mr. Cole received his Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 1992. He sits on the board of directors of the Pittsburgh Coal Mining Institute of America and serves on the Safety Committee of the Pennsylvania Coal Association. He attributes his success to his work ethic and desire to not settle for average.
