WATSONVILLE, CA, October 30, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- John J. Labno, Retired Owner of CTE, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of engineering.

Throughout his 40-year career, Mr. Labno specialized in systems engineering. He began his career in the aircraft industry and worked in several places including Cook Research Labs as an instrumentation engineer for two years. He also worked for the Republic Aircraft at the Edwards Air Force Base, where he served for two years in the engineering department, and the Polaris missile program at Lockheed Missiles and Space Company for three years. After working for others, he started his own business, CTE, Inc., which has specialized in instrumentation engineering serving the aerospace and nuclear power industries for 27 years. With another five years as a consultant, he attributes his success to his hard work, dedication and commitment.

Mr. Labno received his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and completed coursework in electronics at North Western University and at the University of Southern California. He is a former member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society, the Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation Society, the Institute of Environmental Sciences and the Instrument Society of America. In his spare time, he volunteers for the Elks Lodge and Moose Lodge.
