Commercial Duct Cleaning Company Earns Safety Award
Hughes Environmental wins Safety Award for the Third Consecutive Year

LOUISVILLE, KY, January 11, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Hughes Environmental, a commercial duct cleaning company based in Louisville, Kentucky, was awarded the "Safety Award" by the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) for the third consecutive year. Additionally, Hughes Environmental was among only twenty-six companies honored with the "Outstanding Safety Award" which is given to companies "that have maintained workplaces with little or no instances of employee injuries for three or more consecutive years."

The requirements for NADCA's Safety Award are based on Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standards. Companies who apply for the award must have completed OSHA #300A Log in accordance with requirements under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1979 and have met safety guidelines as stipulated by NADCA to receive the honor.

Rebecca Yost, Hughes Environmental's Safety Director said, "I think receiving this award three years in a row says a lot about the premium we put on safety and how diligently we work on maintaining safety on our jobsites." Chuck Cooper, who oversees business development for the company noted, "I think it is particularly impressive given that we only perform commercial duct cleaning and that opens us up to so many more potentially hazardous situations, such as working off lifts or in confined spaces."
