Ryan K. Carter Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Product Management
Product Manager for Emhart Teknologies Striving to Regain Company's Position as the Eminent Engineered Fastener & Fastening Systems Company in North America.

Shelton, CT, February 20, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ryan K. Carter, Product Manager - POP Riveting Emhart Teknologies, Inc. (a Black & Decker Company), has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of product management.

Mr. Carter's present responsibilities allow him to utilize all of the skill sets he developed from his previous positions in technical sales, application engineering, and project management while complementing them with his engineering and financial educational background. At present, he ensures that Emhart maximizes its investments and meets critical brand objectives in engineering, manufacturing, and distribution for the POP Riveting product line through effective tactics and a development of a long term strategy. Mr. Carter also strives to regain the brand recognition as the North American leader in riveting fastening and assembly solutions by developing and implementing marketing and communications programs and initiating proposals to add new products, new product extensions, or revise exiting ones optimizing synergy across target North American market segments.

Before joining Emhart Teknologies, Mr. Carter enjoyed a successful career with the Timken Company (formerly Torrington Co.) as a Global Product Manager, Sr. Application Engineer/Project Manager (2001-2003), Application Engineer (1998-2001) and District Sales Engineer (1995-1998).

Mr. Carter finds the most rewarding aspect of his work to be knowing that the tactics and strategies he develops and implements will not only directly affect the profitability of Emhart's Industrial North American business, but also have the ability to turn Emhart's strongest brand product back to the image, revenue and profitability it once enjoyed a decade ago. He is most proud of the fact that he has been able to influence, motivate and gain confidence of all functional areas within Emhart Teknologies during his past year with the company despite a declining North American economy.

Mr. Carter received his Master of Science in Management with an emphasis in Financial Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Hartford, CT in 2003 and his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in Internal Combustion Engines from Iowa State University in Ames, IA in 1995. He also completed training courses at Boston University in Torrington CT, Kent State University, in Canton OH, the Torrington Company Learning Center in Torrington CT, and Penn State University in State College PA.
