Distinguished by over three decades of professional industry experience, Robert Gass is noted for his contributions to the field of radiation protection. Now celebrating his twenty-ninth year with the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, Virginia, Mr. Gass is specialized in radiological controls and nuclear physics. Having gained extensive experience in both the nuclear power industry and the ship repair business, he expertly trains naval personnel and civilians regarding the particulars of radiation protection.

Driven by an interest in physics, Mr. Gass is supported by his high professional standards and refusal to compromise on quality. A certified NRRP technologist, he completed college coursework in mathematics and physics. He has trained apprentices, mechanics, and managers concerning shipyard related subjects and trade skills as well as holding journeyman level qualifications in the following areas: Inside Machinist, Toolmaker, Cabinetmaker, Carpenter, and Boiler-Plant Equipment Mechanic. He is affiliated with Virginia Citizens Defense League Inc. and looks forward to lending his talents to the education field in the coming years.
