Ms. Cruz is the director of production operations and materials management at Merck & Co., Inc., a pharmaceutical company, which preserves and improves the health of people, as well as animals. Not only does she oversee the company's materials management sector, but she deals with leadership teams and cost factors. Proud of her 34 years in the industry, Ms. Cruz is passionate about providing high-quality pharmaceutical products to people all over the world.

In 1978, Ms. Cruz graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she received a master's degree in industrial engineering, with a concentration in materials and cost control. A member of the American Production and Inventory Control Society, she holds a green belt certification from the American Society for Quality. Ms. Cruz dedicates her free time to the March of Dimes Foundation, Paralyzed Veterans of America, and the American Diabetes Association. In the future, she hopes to make the transition into supply or logistics management.
