Blair E. Thomas provides financial and accounting services for the American Society of Nutrition

BETHESDA, MD, November 9, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Blair E. Thomas, Controller at the American Society for Nutrition, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in financial operations.

As a controller at the American Society for Nutrition, Mr. Thomas is responsible for implementing accounting software, supervising staff, overseeing the department, interviewing, staffing, training, accounting, budgeting, conducting meetings, working with department directors, developing strategies and preparing financial statements. Prior to attaining his current position, he worked as a financial manager providing accounting services to various scientific societies for seven years. He attributes his success to his Christian beliefs, professional ethics and the support he receives from his parents, wife, children and friends.

Mr. Thomas earned a bachelor of science in accounting from Pennsylvania State University in 1985 and became a certified public accountant in the state of Maryland in 2001. He is a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives and The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He plans to continue growing in his profession, and one day form his own nonprofit organization/foundation for a cause yet to be determined.
