James L. Parker earned a degree in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point

Mr. Parker has 18 years of professional management experience. Prior to working for Ameriprise Financial, Inc., he served in the U.S. Army for four years. Since 2004, Mr. Parker has been the branch manager of the company's Livonia location. He specializes in financial planning and asset management. In his position, his office manages $750 million in assets, and oversees 20 advisers. He attributes his success to his integrity and relationship-building skills.

A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Mr. Parker received a Bachelor of Science in engineering in 1987. He is a member of the Livonia Chamber of Commerce and the Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund.
