Joseph P. Buongiorno Worked for 20 Years as an Engineer for Nabisco Before Starting his own Consultancy

HOPATCONG, NJ, November 09, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Joseph P. Buongiorno, President of Building Infrastructure Consulting Services, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Civil Engineering. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named the Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, and leadership abilities.

Joseph P. Buongiorno has 41 years of experience in civil engineering and six years of experience as president of Building Infrastructure Consulting Services. An expert in civil and structural engineering, he is responsible for creating an accurate assessment of damaged facilities and reporting findings on a building's infrastructure. In 2010, Mr. Buongiorno — who attributes his success to his work ethic — wrote an article that was published in the American Society of Civil Engineering News.

Prior to starting Building Infrastructure Consulting Services, Mr. Buongiorno worked for 20 years as an engineer for Nabisco. He received a master's degree in civil engineering in 1972 and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering in 1969, both from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is a member of the American Concrete Institute, the Sub Committee for the American Society of Civil Engineers, The Society for Protective Coatings, and Chi Epsilon. He is also a trustee of the New Jersey Homeowner Association.
