Lorna Kingsland Honored by Cambridge Who's Who
Lorna Kingsland graduated from George Brown College at the top of her class

BRAMPTON, ON, CANADA, November 16, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lorna Kingsland, Third-Class Stationary Power Engineer at Algonquin Power Energy From Waste Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in alternative fuel.

After gaining experience in restoring steam locomotives, Ms. Kingsland ventured into alternative energy and power engineering. She has spent 16 years at Algonquin Power Energy From Waste, Inc., where she is responsible for overseeing the company's operations. She also conducts temperature readings, and troubleshoots and corrects facility issues.

Ms. Kingsland received a degree in fourth-class stationary power engineering from George Brown College; she graduated at the top of her class in 1983. Possessing a gas fitter license, she belongs to the Girl Guides of Canada and the Ontario Rail Foundation.

Through her hard work, she has led a successful career of 27 years. She often speaks at high schools and colleges, encouraging young women to consider blue collar trades. In the future, Ms. Kingsland intends to obtain a second-class engineering license.
