Chris W. Penales Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Civil Engineering
Chris W. Penales monitors the flow of sewer pipes for Sacramento County

ELK GROVE, CA, March 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Chris W. Penales, Student Engineer for the Sacramento Area Sewer District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in civil engineering.

A consistent Dean's Lister, Chris W. Penales is pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at California State University, Sacramento. He hones his practical skills as a student engineer at the Sacramento Area Sewer District, where he works primarily in the capacity management department. Rapidly acquiring an expertise in capacity management, flow monitoring and flow analysis, Mr. Penales has been entrusted with performing a myriad of responsibilities. This includes monitoring the flow of sewer pipes in the Sacramento region including the unincorporated areas of Sacramento County and the cities of Citrus Heights, Rancho Cordova, Elk Grove and Folsom, and working alongside field workers to take readings and measurements to ensure, monitor, study and maintain the levels of waste water flow within the region. Mr. Penales is thrilled to be working with people who share his goals and interests, and attributes the success that he is enjoying early in his career to his ambition, desire to help others and drive to make every day count.

Mr. Penales holds an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering and Mathematics from Cosumnes River College. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi, Phi Kappa Phi, and the Golden Key International Honour Society. In his free time, Mr. Penales volunteers at St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Rose Catholic Church. He also enjoys tutoring students in math and looks forward to completing his degree while building a career in public service.
