Andriy Svyryd Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Software Development
Andriy Svyryd looks forward to making an impact at Microsoft
REDMOND, WA, April 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Andriy Svyryd, Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) for Microsoft, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in software development.
Driven by a desire to make an impact on the software industry, Andriy Svyryd joined Microsoft in 2008. An expert in .NET software development and testing, he writes software for Microsoft using the programming languages C#, C++, C, Java J2SE and J2EE, Prolog, Scheme, LISP, Perl, Haskell, FORTRAN, BASIC, SQL, and Python. Mr. Svyryd brings to his position his experience in various projects, which include Microsoft SQL Server Modeling as a member of the developer services team and Microsoft Windows Application Server for .NET 4 as a developer and member of the setup team.
Always an exemplary student, Mr. Svyryd received praise for his thesis project on PSF Adaptive Optics for the Astronomy Institute at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico (UNAM). While still attending school, he served as lead programmer of both Hover Madness, a remake of a racing game, and Jobs Online, a job search site. In 2002, he won first prize at the School Computer Olympiad for his development of a "Snake" arcade game using BASIC. Now with Microsoft, Mr. Svyryd attributes the success that he has enjoyed quite early in his career to his troubleshooting skills and the solid education the he received.
Mr. Svyryd earned his bachelor of computer science in 2007 from UNAM. He looks forward to building his career at Microsoft.
