With 41 years of professional experience, Dr. Douglas specializes in electrical engineering and design. As the owner of Douglas Engineering Consulting Company, he takes responsibility for approving building permits for residential and commercial projects. He attributes his success to his hard work and focused nature.

Dr. Douglas received his Ph.D. in Curriculum Instruction and Electrical Engineering from Cambridge State University (2002), his Master of Education from Texas Southern University (2001) and his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University (1969). A licensed electrician and licensed professional engineer; he is a member of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, The American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. He is also affiliated with the International Union of Electrical Workers and Association of Texas Professional Educators as well as the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development. He was honored with the Space Shuttle Enterprise Award and an Army Commendation Medal of Honor. He supports the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Council of Indian Nations, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the United Negro College Fund.
