Thomas R. Clem, Sr. received the Director's Award for Outstanding Service

IVANHOE, NC, April 28, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Thomas R. Clem, Sr., Electronics Engineer for Ro-Tech Company, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in engineering.

Mr. Clem has 47 years of overall professional experience, and has been with Ro-Tech Company for 15 years. As an electronics engineer, he is in charge of process control systems design and integration such as fermentation systems requiring algorithm development for adaptive control. Prior to his current position, he worked for the National Institutes of Health for 37 years, where he was responsible for designing medical and scientific laboratory instruments. He has published 20 papers and holds three United States patents, which resulted in several commercial instruments. Additionally, he has taught in-house education at NIH as well as computer classes on genealogy at the Montgomery County Genealogy Society. Mr. Clem attributes his success to the encouragement his father offered him.

In 1963, Mr. Clem earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He participated in coursework at Purdue University, and is a member of the Cape Fear Miata Club and Who's Who in Science and Engineering. He received the Director's Award for Outstanding Service from the National Institutes of Health.
