HILL CITY, KS, June 03, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert G. Frazey, Field Supervisor, Senior Systems Technician for URS Corporation, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in engineering.
Specializing in geotechnical engineering, Mr. Frazey has served as a field supervisor and senior systems technician for URS Corporation for 24 years. In this position, he manages construction projects including new dam construction and old dam reconstruction, installs equipment to monitor dams and designs holding fixtures for levies in New Orleans. URS Corporation provides engineering, construction and technical services for public agencies and private sector companies. He previously worked as a site construction manager at HorseThief Dam in Hodgeman County in Kansas and designed a dam failure warning system at the Tuttle Creek Dam in Manhattan for the United States Army Corps of Engineers.
Mr. Frazey received his Associate Degree in Engineering in 1983. He is a member of the American Association for Testing and Materials, the National Fire Protection Association and the American Concrete Institute. He became involved in his profession because of his educational background, and he attributes his success to his ability to remain current with the advancement of new technologies. In the future, he intends to mentor new engineers.
