LAWRENCE, MA, September 8, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Denny Treu, Vice President of Research for NxStage Medical, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in leading medical device system design, risk management, and mechanical engineering.

For the past 12 years, Denny Treu has been responsible for leading NxStage Medical, Inc's research team in designing new products, features, and overseeing technology development. The holder of more than 50 United States patents, he enjoys bringing life changing improvements to hemodialysis patients by providing better therapy outcomes, allowing patients to perform their treatments when and where it is convenient for them, and solving many of the usability issues associated with performing complex medical treatments in the home environment. Looking ahead, Mr. Treu hopes that NxStage Medical, Inc.'s products are widely accepted in world wide home dialysis treatment. Celebrating 31 years in his field, Mr. Treu attributes his success to his tenacity, dedication, and teamwork abilities.

Mr. Treu received his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University in 1979. He is the Co-Chairman of the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) HA committee for Medical Devices and Systems in Home Care Applications. A Scout Master with the Boy Scouts of America, Mr. Treu's favorite cause is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints'Young Men's Program.
