Cambridge Who's Who Names Denny Treu Professional of the Year in Medical Instrumentation and technology
A holder of more than 50 U.S. patents, Mr. Treu leads the research team in designing new features

LAWRENCE, MA, November 2, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Denny Treu, Vice President of Research for NxStage Medical, Inc., has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in medical instrumentation and technology. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

A holder of more than 50 U.S. patents, Mr. Treu leads the research team in designing new features, and oversees the technology development as the vice president of research for NxStage Medical, Inc. He has accumulated more than three decades of experience, gaining expertise in medical device system design, risk management and mechanical engineering.

Over his 32-year career, Mr. Treu has felt the most satisfaction through bringing life changing improvements to hemodialysis patients by providing better therapy outcomes, allowing patients to conduct their treatments when and where it is convenient for them, and solving many of the usability issues associated with performing complex medical treatments in the home environment.

In 1979, Mr. Treu earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University. He is the co-chairman of the Medical Devices and Systems in Home Care Applications committee for the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation. His future plans consist of having the products at NxStage Medical, Inc. widely accepted in worldwide home dialysis.
