/Engineering News Articles/ -- IRVING, TX, August 5, Joshua Szarek, Director of Logistics and Strategic Planning for Matheson, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing leadership, dedication, and excellence in business development.

Mr. Joshua Szarek brings 10 years of professional experience in leadership, business and engineering to Matheson. In early 2010, he assumed the position of director of logistics and strategic planning. He is well-versed in quality and performance improvement, transportation and distribution operations, global supplier sourcing and selection, staff development and leadership. He also serves as his division's Six Sigma Black Belt as well as sits on the company's energy board. In addition to his work for Matheson, Joshua Szarek has conducted public speaking on leadership and his military experience.

This year, Joshua furthered his education through the completion of an MBA at The University of Texas at Dallas with concentrations in finance and marketing. In 2003, he graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in business. He is a Certified Project Management Professional, and holds two personal trainer certifications. Active in his professional community, Joshua is a member of the Dallas chapter of Project Management Institute and American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He is also affiliated with Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi, Tau Beta Pi Association, Golden Key International Honour Society and Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. His additional accomplishments include achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, being honored as a distinguished military graduate, receiving a George C. Marshall Award, and being awarded a bronze star for his military service.
